Special offers for mammoplasty!

A beautiful breast makes a woman feel confident in her own attractiveness and gives aesthetic pleasure from the sight of her body.

Sometimes there are unfortunate discrepancies between the breast given by nature or what it has become after child-feeding and the one that a woman wants to see.

Especially for patients dreaming of beautiful breasts! We have extended the mammoplasty promotional offer until January 31, 2021

Intestinal Polyp Removal

Benefits of polyp removal in our clinic

Intestinal polyps a common pathology of the gastrointestinal tract. Polyps can be single or multiple, localized in the large intestine and rectum. Their presence is revealed by colonoscopy, i.e. an endoscopic examination of the colon or intestine. Modern video endoscopes are characterized by high image clarity. Neoplasms can be both benign and malignant. The main danger of polyps is their ability to degenerate into an oncological disease.

1. Positive occult blood test. A patient is referred to colonoscopy if there is a suspicion of neoplasms or if the previously performed occult blood test is positive (regardless of age).

2. If there is a family predisposition to intestinal polyps, colonoscopy is necessary for all patients over 45 years.

Preparations for the examination are made in several stages:

1. Keeping to a diet.

Three days before the procedure, you should exclude any plant food, not only fruits and vegetables, but also cereals, bread and all bakery products. The products should not contain fiber. You should drink more fluid, including juices, but without pulp.

In preparation for intestinal examination, experts recommend active movements and exercises. Read more about the diet before the colonoscopy here.

2. Taking medications to cleanse the intestines of anything that may interfere with the examination.

In our opinion, preparation for colonoscopy is easier with a modern drug Eziclen. Before the examination drink 0.5 liters of the drug solution in 2 steps and 1 liter of water, a total of 1 liter of solution and 2 liters of water.

A one-stage preparation is possible in the morning, when the patient drinks all of the solution, and comes for examination in the afternoon, or a 2-stage preparation, when half of the solution (half a liter of solution and 1 liter of water) is taken the night before, and the second 1.5 liters - on the day of examination. This drug, compared to others, is much easier to tolerate. Read more about preparation for colonoscopy with other drugs here.

Before the examination, a general blood test (blood clotting indices) should be performed, and ECG for patients with heart disease.
Polyp removal

Intestinal polyps found during the study are removed during colonoscopy (endoscopic polypectomy). The method is minimally traumatic and is characterized by organ preservation.

During the colonoscopy, high-definition equipment (HD, HDTV, even HDTV+) is used with additional functions that improve the visualization, including various magnifying techniques and electronic chromoscopy (where various details of mucosal changes are emphasized). This increases the accuracy of diagnosis.

Colonoscopy is always conducted only under visual control, the endoscope is introduced only in those areas that are in the sight of a specialist.

During the study, inflammatory, destructive changes in the mucous membrane (erosions and ulcers) are visualized. The most important is the detection of various tumors of benign and malignant nature, especially at an early stage. Detection of tumors at an early stage allows the use of endoscopic method of treatment: the organ remains, the risk of complications, in contrast to open surgery, is much lower.

The endoscopic method is in most cases a radical method of treatment. The tumor is removed entirely, which gives confidence that there will be no subsequent relapses, metastases, that is, any further manifestations of the cancer process. Thanks to the technique used, the endoscopist diagnoses how far the process has gone. If it is a large oncological tumor, the patient will be referred to an oncology center.

If a neoplasm is detected in the large intestine during the study, which may be dangerous in terms of cancer development, it can be removed immediately. The patient preliminarily draws up an informed voluntary consent for the removal of neoplasms. This saves time, which in this case is very valuable.

There are masses in the intestine, which must be removed, and there are those that can be observed rather than touched. This is determined during the study during the diagnostic procedure. In case of doubt about the nature of the neoplasm, a biopsy is taken, followed by a histological analysis of the obtained material. If the results of the biopsy indicate a benign nature of polyps, they are, in most cases, subject to endoscopic removal. In case of cancer, the patient is sent to an oncologist for further treatment.

Removal of intestinal polyps is performed in outpatient settings. Patients can go home on the same day. If there are suspicions of possible complications after the procedure, patients can stay under observation in the inpatient department of the clinic.

Colonoscopy and anesthesia

The study can be performed with or without sedation (medication sleep). The morbidity of the procedure is influenced by the peculiarities of the intestine structure, various bends, previous operations on the abdominal cavity, individual characteristics (pain threshold). The study is most painfully tolerated by women, since, due to anatomical features, the patients have more curves of the sigmoid colon.

For comfort, in order to avoid the appearance of painful sensations, the study is recommended to be carried out under sedation.

Medication sleep is not harmful to health. The drug used in this case does not accumulate in the body, but is immediately excreted. The only recommendation is not to drive that day.

Polyp removal

The healing of the mucosa after the polypectomy procedure occurs within several days.

After the procedure, you can eat almost immediately, but avoid foods with a large amount of crude fiber.

After polypectomy, each patient receives detailed individual recommendations on further treatment from the medical doctor.
